Our friendly reception staff will welcome you into the department and direct you to the relevant waiting area. They are pleased to assist you with any travel or appointment queries you may have.
We aim to provide a pleasant and comfortable environment for you to relax in prior to your appointment.
Read a magazine or watch television from one of our recliner chairs whilst staying cool in the air conditioned main waiting area.
If you prefer the natural NT climate, take a seat outside in the shade from the trees on our established grounds, or in the designated outdoor waiting area.

Specialist nurses will ensure all of your needs are attended to throughout the duration of your treatment, drawing on the assistance of various professionals.

Our two treatment machines, called ‘Linear Accelerators,’ are both equipped with the latest in imaging capabilities, and are able to deliver the most advanced of treatment techniques.

The chemotherapy suite is also located within the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre.
Should you be receiving chemotherapy as well as radiotherapy, we will liaise with the spcialist chemotherapy nurses to co-ordinate your treatment accordingly.
