Breast cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the breast tissue. It can occur in any part of the breast, including the skin, ducts, lobules, and fatty tissue. Breast cancer may be either benign or malignant. Benign breast tumours do not spread to other body parts, while malignant breast tumours can spread to other parts of the body.
Breast cancer is most commonly found in women, however it is also possible for men to develop breast cancer. Men who have had hormone therapy treatment for prostate cancer may be at an increased risk of developing this disease.
