Brain & Spinal Cord
Brain cancers (also called central nervous system or CNS tumours) occur within the tissues of the brain or spinal cord. These can be primary cancers, where the cancer starts in the brain, or secondary cancers which indicates a tumour from another area has spread to the brain.
Brain tumours can also be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous), however treatment may still be required even if the tumour is non-cancerous.
