With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, we want to make sure that you are informed and prepared. While you may feel anxious about the virus, we want to assure you that our staff take every precaution possible to ensure your safety.

Patients

We recognise that you may be experiencing concerns, fears, and uncertainty about COVID-19 and how this may impact your radiation treatment.

NT Radiation Oncology follow the directions of the Northern Territory Chief Health Office and Royal Darwin Hospital.  At present, there are no screening requirement for patients attending the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre.  However if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms please contact your treating team.

Radiation treatment may still be delivered if you have Covid-19.  This will be discussed with your doctor.

Visitors

There are no current restrictions for visitors to the Alan Walker Cancer Care Centre.
